The Chairman of the Embilipitiya Pradeshiya Sabha M.K. Amila who was arrested and remanded over an alleged assault on two police officers has been released on bail.
The PS chairman had been absconding for nearly a week after assaulting two Constables attached to the Panamura Police Station.
However, he surrendered to the Embilipitiya Magistrate’s Court through an attorney on June 04 and was remanded.
