Navy arrests 35 Indian fishermen fishing in Kalpitiya seas

The Navy arrested 35 Indian fishermen who had violated maritime boundary laws and were caught fishing in the Kalpitiya seas.

 

The Navy also seized the four vessels that the fishermen had been in, Navy Media Spokesman Commander Kosala Warnakulasuriya stated.

 

The arrest was made last night (August 25) while the suspects are being brought to the shore.
