Court issues notice on Superintendent of Police

The Kegalle Provincial High Court Judge Menaka Wijesundara today issued notice on SP Palitha Siriwardena, who is in-charge of the Colombo Central Police Division, to appear before the court tomorrow.

Notice was issued for the Superintendent of Police (SP), through the DIG in charge of Central Colombo, to appear before the court tomorrow (6) after he had failed to be present for a case being heard daily at the Provincial High Court.

The notice directs SP Palitha Siriwardena to appear in court for the case regarding the robbery of a lorry and cash by 4 persons including the former Vice Chairman of the Dehiowita Pradehsiya Sabha, Priyantha Udayakumara alias Debagama Priyantha, which is being take up at the court on daily basis.
