NPC opposition leader arrested over Delft PS chairman murder

The Opposition leader of the Northern Provincial Council K. Kamalendran of the EPDP has been arrested by the CID over the murder of the Delft Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman, Police spokesman said. Police added that the wife of the Delft PS chairman along with another suspect has also been arrested.
Police spokesman stated that police believed that the murder was due to a family dispute.
