Inmates of Bogambara prison climb roof in protest

A group of six prisoners of the Bogambara Prison in Kandy climbed the roof of a prison building in protest today (January 3).
An Ada Derana reported stated that the six prisoners were serving their sentences after being given the death penalty.
The protest began this afternoon.
