Bus gutted in fire on Expressway

A passenger transport bus caught fire in the Ja Ela area on the Colombo-Katunayake Expressway this afternoon, an officials said.

The fire erupted at around 12 noon today and has been completely extinguished, the Operations Director of the Colombo-Katunayake Expressway, T.K. Ranatunga said.

He, however, added that no passengers or bus operators were harmed by the fire.
