Strict action to be taken against those who contradict Working Committee - UNP

Strict action will be taken against those who work in contradiction to the process approved by the UNP Working Committee, the UNP Leadership Council unanimously decided.

 

The Leadership Council held a meeting today (March 5) at Sirikotha and took this decision. The meeting was chaired by the council Chairman MP Karu Jayasuriya.

 

The UNP stated that reports have already been submitted regarding those operating in contradiction of the Working Committee while swift action will be taken against them.

 

The Western and Southern Provincial Council election manifesto of the UNP will be presented on March 12, at 11.30am at Sirikotha, a statement by the UNP read.

 

Furthermore, the UNP stated that the demand for membership within the UNP had grown while the party has decided to appoint Membership Promotions Committee to enhance membership around the island.
