D.V. Upul tops Hambantota preference votes

UPFA candidate and former Provincial Minister D.V. Upul has received the highest preference votes from the Hambantota District with a total of 66,995 votes. Fellow UPFA candidate M.K. Kasun has received 55,881 votes.

Southern Provincial Council candidate Thennakoon G. Senaratne has obtained the highest preference votes for the United National Party in the Hambantota District with 28,829 votes.

Hambantota Disitrct (UPFA):

D.V. Upul - 66,995
M.K. Kasun - 55,881
Ajith Rajapaksa – 34,591

Hambantota District (UNP):

Thennakoon G. Senaratne – 28,829
Lal Chandra – 17,199
Nihal Wedaarachchi – 13,593

Hambantota District (JVP):

Nihal Galappathi – 11,957
A. Weladagoda – 6,177
