SC dismisses UNP petition on Uva PC seats

The Supreme Court today dismissed the petition filed by United National Party (UNP) Parliamentarian Harin Fernando against the Election Commissioner, on the seat allocation in Uva Province.
The petition was filed on 21 July after the Election Department decided to reduce three seats of Badulla district of Uva Province from 21 to 18 and add them to the Moneragala district from 11 to 14.
