Two Indian nationals have been arrested by the Terrorist Investigation Division (TID) for allegedly possessing photographs of Sri Lanka’s Parliament and Prime Minister’s residence, police Spokesperson SSP Ajith Rohana said.

The suspects were arrested, following a tipoff, on Tuesday (26) while travelling in a three-wheeler taxi in Modara, SSP Rohana added.

The TID have found images of the Parliament and the residence of the prime minister in a laptop and a camera, it was reported.

However, the suspects have claimed that they kept the images for a collection, and visited Sri Lanka to take part in a conference in Colombo. The two individuals are being interrogated by the TID.
