Elections Secretariat to monitor Uva PC postal voting

The Elections Secretariat has decided to monitor the postal voting for the Uva Provincial Council election, which will take place on September 4 and 5. 

Officials from the Department of Elections are to be deployed to voting centers for monitoring duties on those two days while the officials will be stationed at state institutions with the highest postal voters.

Meanwhile officials are currently undergoing training for election duties ahead of the upcoming Uva PC polls in Monaragala and Badulla Districts.

The Elections Secretariat says that around 11,000 officials will be deployed for duties from the day of the voting.
