Nilendra Deshapriya’s debut wins Best Film Award

Nilendra Deshapriya’s debut film Thanha Rathi Ranga (Between Yesterday and Tomorrow) has won the Best Film Award at the I Will Tell International Film Festival 2014 in London, UK.
It was announced recently that Thanha Rathi Ranga had been nominated as Best Film along with 2 other films.
The movie tells the story of three friends who embark on an impromptu journey, after the victory of a 30 year old ethnic conflict, to a land that was once forbidden and how the events that follow change their lives forever.
The three anti-heroes are a three wheeler driver, an oversensitive University student and a handyman father of three young children: three friends, dreaming of a better life, a future filled with freedom, love, money.
Thanha Rathi Ranga was screening at the Colombo International Film Festival on Saturday, 6th of September at 1PM at Regal Cinema Colombo.
Thanha Rathi Ranga will be released across the country from the 1st week of November 2014.
