UPFA MP P. Rajadurai joins UNP

UPFA Nuwara-Eliya district Parliamentarian Perumal Rajadurai said that he has joined the United National Party (UNP), and will support Maithripala Sirisena at the upcoming election. 

He made the observation at a press conference held in Colombo, a short while ago.

Rajadurai who was a former Acting Magistrate was elected to the Parliament with 49,228 votes from UPFA in 2010.

In a previous occasion, Gampaha District ruling party Parliamentarian Wasantha Senanayake too defected to the UNP, on 20 November.
