53 vehicles belonging to Presidential Secretariat found in Pita Kotte

Mirihana Police today searched 53 vehicles belonging to the Presidential Secretariat which were found parked in a property of the Sri Jayawardenepura Multi Purpose Co-operative in Pita Kotte.

Security had been provided to the suspicious vehicle yard by personnel from the Rakna Arakshaka Lanka Limited (RALL) private security firm.

The vehicles were discovered following an inspection carried out by Mirihana Police on a tip-off received while upon questioning the security officers had revealed that the vehicles belonged to the Presidential Secretariat.

Mirihana Police are conducting further investigations into the discovery, the Police Media Unit said.
