31 injured after buses collide in Ketandola

At least 31 passengers were wounded and hospitalised following a collision involving two busses in the Ketandola area on the Elpitiya-Pitigala main road.

Police said that a Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) bus, traveling from Elpitiya to Pitigala, had collided with a private bus heading in the opposite direction.

Around 17 women are among the wounded passengers who have been admitted to the hospital.

Pitigala Police are conducting further investigations.
