Ten high-ranking army officers reinstated

Ten high-ranking army officers including a Major General, who were sent on compulsory leave following the 2010 Presidential Election, have been reinstated, a spokesman said.

President Maithripala Sirisena has directed the reinstating of one Major General, 5 Colonels, a Lieutenant Colonel and two Captains, Acting Army Media Spokesperson Brigadier Jayanath Jayaweera said.

The aforementioned army officers are expected to meet the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army (SLA) Lieutenant General R. M. Daya Ratnayake on Monday (16).
