Two brothers drown after boat capsizes

Two youths drowned after their small boat capsized in the Buduruwagala tank, Wellawaya. Police said that one of the bodies have been recovered while search operations are continuing for the other.

The victims have been identified as two brothers, aged 18 and 20, from Mawelagama in Koslanda.

They had reportedly traveled from Koslanda to Wellawaya on an excursion and had decided to ride the canoe along the Buduruwagala tank.
