Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe leaves for London

Dr. Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe Minister of Justice and Labour Relations left for London on Sunday (22) to represent Sri Lanka at the invitation of Minister of Justice of United Kingdom at the Global Law Summit scheduled to be held from 22nd to 25th February at the Queen Elizabeth Conference Centre, London, the goverment offical news portal said in a statement.

This Global Law Summit is a unique collaboration between UK Government and the rest of the Democratic States in the World as they celebrate 800th Year Anniversary of the sealing of Magna Carta which is considered the foundation of the Modern Democracy based upon the rule of law.
 
Along with the Minister the Attorney- General of Sri Lanka, Mr. Yuvanjan Wijethilake is also scheduled to participate in the proceedings.
 
This event will bring together justice ministers, attorney general, judges, legal academics and practitioners and business communities from around the world. The event emphasises on the subjects of rule of law, access to justice and sustainable development, whose responsibility is to maintain the rule of law, rule of law and global economy, who polices public interest best in global takeovers and Global Trends in international trade and the laws that underpins them.
 
Dr. Rajapakshe is also scheduled to meet the Minister of Justice and Senior Officials of the Ministry in UK.
