Traffic jam due to protest near UGC

Severe traffic congestion has been reported near Ward Place in Colombo and nearby roads due to a protest in front of the University Grants Commission (UGC).
The protest is being staged by the Inter University Students’ Federation (IUSF) against the privatization of higher education, charging money to enroll students into schools and for other necessities.
