Rohitha Abeygunawardena questioned by Bribery Commission

Former Minister Rohitha Abeygunawardena is being questioned by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery and Corruption following a compliant lodged with the commission, a source said.

Earlier, the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) lodged the complaint against 12 former governmental members including former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, Namal Rajapaksa MP, former Minister Basil Rajapaksa and ex-defence secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

Parliamentarian Vijitha Herath said that the commission should conduct an unbiased investigation and the JVP predicts that the justice will be served in this case.
