Special ceremony to invoke blessing on national heroes

The principal and administrator of the Pepiliyana Sunethra Mahadevi Pirivena, Dr. Medagoda Abayatissa Thero, says that a special religious ceremony to invoke blessings on the country’s national heroes will take place on March 15, 2015 marking the 200th year of signing the Kandyan Convention of 1815.


He stated that the ceremony (Punyanumodanawa) will take place at the Kiri Vehera Temple in Kataragama on Sunday (15) under the patronage of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
