Galle Road to be closed for new traffic plan rehearsals

Galle Road from Galle Face roundabout to Ceramic Junction will be closed from 11.00 am to 11.15 am (15 minutes) on Thursday (12) due to traffic plan rehearsals ahead of Indian Premier’s visit, Police Spokesman ASP Ruwan Gunasekera said.
Gunasekera said that some 1,000 cops from about 100 police stations in the Western Province will be deployed during the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Accordingly, traffic movement in Colombo will be restricted from time to time on several roads due to the movements of the Indian delegation.
