Sarana Gunawardena remanded

The Attanagalla Magistrate on Thursday (12) remanded ex-Minister Sarana Gunawardena until 23 March. Gunawardena was arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) today morning.

Gunawardena, who was the Deputy Minister of Petroleum Industries under the previous government, was summoned to the CID where he was arrested on charges of criminal breach of trust.
