Select Committee to probe corrupt deals at the Stock Exchange

Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe on Wednesday (18) informed the Parliament that a Select Committee will be appointed to probe corrupt deals said to have taken place at the Colombo Stock Exchange since 2010.

“A proposal has already been submitted to the Parliament Secretary requesting to establish the Select Committee,” Wickramasinghe said.

The Prime Minister added that the proposal will be added to the Parliament agenda and this will be further discussed with the Parliament Speaker as well.
