Fire at Unity Plaza

A fire has broken out at the Unity Plaza shopping complex in Bambalapitya, Police told Ada Derana. Heavy traffic is reported from the area.

Police Spokesperson ASP Ruwan Gunasekara said that the fire was extinguished with the support of the Colombo Fire Brigade and the Bambalapitiya police, within few hours. 

No casualties were reported in the incident. A team from the Government Analyst’s Department will visit the complex for further investigations tomorrow.
