Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi encouraged “separatism” during his visit to Sri Lanka, thus effort of country’s war heroes whose lives were sacrificed to combat terrorism and stabilise the nation will go to waste soon, the National Freedom Front (NFF) said on Thursday (19).

NFF Parliamentarian Weerakumara Dissanayake made the observation at a press conference held in Colombo.

“A solution beyond the 13th Amendment...” that is the hope he gave to the Tamils. "This is the hope he gave to Chief Minister of Northern Province C.V.Vigneshwaran.

Thus, peace has already been established in the country after a three decade long war. So why Modi wanted to support separatism?” Dissanayake queried.
