Gnanasara Thero summoned to religious police unit

The General Secretary of the Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) organisation, Ven. Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thero, was summoned today by the special police unit to investigate religious disputes, established under the Buddha Sasana Ministry.
The Buddhist monk had been notified to appear before the unit to a give statement in connection with a complaint filed by a religious organization against certain remarks he had made, at a press conference on March 19.
Earlier today, Ven. Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thero visited the police unit to give a statement regarding the remarks, the BBS organisation said.
