A massive fire has broken out at a shoe factory in Nawinna, Maharagama a short while ago.
Police said that the factory in question has suffered major damage from the blaze.
The fire brigade has dispatched several fire trucks to the location while fire fighters are currently attempting to douse the flames.
Police have still not determined the cause of the fire at the factory, which is located on Rajamaha Vihara Road.
