Search continues for woman missing in Kahawatta

A search operation is underway to locate a 39-year old woman who went missing in Kotakethana area in Kahawatta since wee hours of this morning (5).

The search operation was launched subsequent to a complaint lodged with the Kahawatta Police station by the husband of the missing woman.

The husband in his complaint has told the investigators that his wife had gone missing at the time he returned home at around 2.20 am.

Kotakethana in Kahawatta, is notorious for the violent murders, as some 14 women were brutally killed in the area in recent past. The police have apprehended several suspects in connection with the incidents.
