Chief Prelate of Asgiriya Chapter passes away

The Chief Prelate of the Asgiriya Chapter of the Siam Nikāya (sect), Most Ven. Aggamahapanditha Udugama Sri Buddharakkitha Rathanapala Mahanayake Thero, has passed away.
According to reports, the Maha Nayake Thero passed away while receiving medical treatment at a private hospital in Singapore.
The Most Venerable Thero was admitted to the hospital after falling gravely ill recently.
Update: Funeral of Chief Prelate of the Asgiriya Chapter of the Siam Nikāya, Most Ven. Aggamahapanditha Udugama Sri Buddharakkitha Rathanapala Mahanayake Thero, will be held 12 April at Police park Asgiriya.
