Two brothers intentionally run over after dispute

Two brothers were killed and another person critically wounded after they were intentionally run over by a lorry driver in the Kehelulla area in Padiyathalawa.

Police said that following a dispute which had occurred last night between two groups had led to one individual purposely running over two men from the rival group.

The victims, a 28-year-old youth and his 29-year-old brother, were killed instantly while another has been admitted to the Mahiyangana Hospital with critical injuries.

  The driver of the lorry in question has been arrested while police have launched investigations to apprehend the other suspects involved.
