MR, Gotabaya asked to appear before Bribery Commission

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa has been asked to appear before the Bribery Commission on April 24, spokesman for the former President Rohan Welivita told Ada Derana. He also confirmed that former Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa also has been asked to appear before the Commission on April 23 and 27.

 

Political sources told Ada Derana that the former President had been summoned over investigations into a bribery allegation regarding the former UNP General Secretary.

 

Gotabaya Rajapaksa is tipped to be questioned over dealings with the Avant Garde and Rakna Lanka security firms.
