Cop arrested for molesting girl on board bus

A 35-year-old Police Constable (PC) has been arrested on charges of molesting a young girl aboard a moving bus in the Ellawala area in Matale.
He was arrested following a complaint lodged by the victim with the Matale Police Station.
The arrested police officer, who was attached to the Matale District intelligence unit, has been suspended with effect from yesterday (3).
