Special commodity levy on potatoes, big onions slashed

The Ministry of Finance announced that the special commodity levy imposed on imported  Potatoes and Big onions has been reduced with effect from midnight today (05). 

The levy on imported potatoes has been reduced from Rs 55 to Rs 30 per Kg and Big onions reduced from Rs 30 to Rs 10 per kg.

The levies on imported potatoes and big onion were raised last month by Rs 15 and Rs. 20 per kilogram respectively.
