A Sri Lankan Tamil, Y. Srijeyan (39), housed in a special camp in Tiruchi, sustained a head injury after he was allegedly assaulted by two other inmates on Sunday night.

He is undergoing treatment at Mahatma Gandhi Government Hospital in Tiruchi. E. Eswaran and B. Sivasankaran have been named as the accused by the police.
