Postal voting on August 5-6, Teachers could vote on Aug 3

Postal voting for the upcoming General Election to be held on August 17 will take place on August 5-6, Assistant Elections Commissioner told Ada Derana. He added that Teachers could cast their postal votes on August 3.

The General Election is to be held on August 17 while the acceptance of nominations began on Monday (July 6). The deadline for accepting nominations has been set for noon on July 13.
