CISM Day Run…

The International Du Sports Military Day Run – 2018 commenced from Galle Face Green, Colombo, on Sunday (18).The Secretary, Ministry of Defence, Mr. Kapila Waidyaratne PC attended the occasion as the chief guest.

Chief of Defence Staff Admiral Ravindra Wijegunarathna, Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake, Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe, Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathi, Senior Officers of Tri Forces, many other ranks representing Tri Forces and a number of disabled war heroes also attended the event.

The CISM Day Run organized in view of achieving world peace by united militaries through sports, was started from the Galle Face Green and ended up at Defence Services College, Colombo.
