Ada Derana wins at Sumathi Awards 2015

Ada Derana won the Best Television Investigative and Current Affairs news reporting awards at the Sumathi Awards 2015 held at Nelum Pokuna Theater in Colombo on Thursday.

TV Derana’s The Other Side won the award for Best Television Magazine Programme and Rangana Seneviratne won 3rd Place Award for Best News Reader while Derana Little Star received a Special Jury Award.

TV Derana and its new property Ada Derana were nominated for numerous other awards at the annual ceremony. 

Manusath Derana was nominated for Best Current Affairs Programme and Dell Studio was nominated for Best TV Musical Programme.

Organised by the Sumathi Group of Companies, Sumathi Awards is Sri Lanka’s leading award ceremony that recognises the best achievements in the Television industry. 

Having commenced in 1995, this is the 20th edition of the award ceremony.
