Showers, thundershowers in sea areas

Sea area extending from Puttalam to Pottuvil via Colombo, Galle and Hambantota will be rough at times as the winds can strengthen up to 60 kmph at times while other sea areas around the island may be fairly rough at times, the Met Department said.
 
The weather forecast reveals that several spells of showers will occur in the sea area off the coast extending from Puttalam to Hambantota via Colombo and Galle. 

Showers or thundershowers can be expected at a few places in the other sea areas during the afternoon or evening.
 
Winds will be South-westerly and speed will be 30-40 kmph while winds can strengthen up to 50 kmph at times, the Department of Meteorology said.
