Youth shot dead in Ratgama

A person has been shot and killed in the Owakanda area in Ratgama last evening. 

Police said that the shooting was carried out by an unidentified individual who had arrived in a car at around 6.35pm yesterday and fled afterwards. 

The 28-year-old victim, a resident of Ratgama, was admitted to the Karapitiya Hospital in critical condition, however he had succumbed to injuries shortly afterwards. 

No suspects have been arrested so far while Ratgama Police is conducting further investigations.
