De-mining groups recover 168 mines in 24-hours

The Army says that de-mining groups in Kaddaiadampan, Mulliyawelai, and Pumalanthan have recovered one hundred and sixty-eight anti personnel mines within 24-hours time.


Troops on their search and clear operations in the general areas of Oddusuddan Wellamulliwaikkal, MAdukanda, Mahakachchikudiya have also recovered eleven anti personnel mines, one 120 mm artillery shell,  two hand grenade and four Rocket Propeller Grenade (RPG) bombs, the Army said in a statement.
