Three dead, 10 injured after small lorry topples

Three persons were killed while another 10 individuals were wounded after a small lorry veered off the road and toppled near the Kalaru Bridge in Silawatura, Mannar. 

Police said that 13 persons including the driver of the lorry were admitted to the Mannar Hospital following the incident, however 3 of them had succumbed to injuries. 

The group had been traveling from Puttalam to Mannar at the time of the accident this morning. 

Silawatura Police is conducting an investigations into the accident while they suspect excessive speed may have caused it.
