Over 40 injured after buses collide at Kosgama

Over 40 passengers were injured following a head-on collision involving a private bus and a SLTB bus at Kosgama police area on the Colombo-Avissawella main road this morning, the police spokesman said.


The wounded have been admitted to the Avissawella Hospital while at least 6 of them are said to be in critical condition. 


Update: The police confirmed that some 65 persons, five in critical condition, have been admitted to the Avissawella Hospital following the accident.
