Fire destroys 100 acres at Wasgamuwa Reserve

Around 100 acres of land was destroyed due to a forest fire which broke out in the Wasgamuwa Reserve in Wilgamuwa, police said. 

 The fire was extinguished by officials of the Divisional Secretariat with assistance from residents in the area.

The cause of rht fire is yet to be ascertained while Wilgamuwa Police have launched an investigation.
