Jayasuriya briefed on Pakistan’s telecom sector

Deputy Minister Provisional Councils and Regional Development Sanath Jayasuriya visited Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) Headquarters in Islamabad.
 
Chairman PTA Dr Ismail Shah briefed him on working of PTA and telecom sector of Pakistan. 

Sanath Jayasuriya met representatives of cellular mobile operators and discussed investment opportunities in the sector, Pakistani media reported. 

He attended a presentation of International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Regional Advisor Sameer on Friday. 

The deputy, who is a former Sri Lankan cricketer, appreciated Pakistani hospitality during his stay.
