Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa says that under a new government he would legislate a new method to offer up to Rs. 50,000 for people aged between 18-30 for their educational purposes.

He also added that the university undergraduates will receive Rs. 6,000 as Mahapola scholarship instead of Rs. 5,000.

The observations were made at a political gathering held in Ampara last evening (26).
