Ranjan Ramanayake to be charged of contempt of court?

Kotte Deputy Mayor Madura Vithanage on Monday (27) handed over a letter to the Supreme Court seeking contempt of court charges against Deputy Minister, Ranjan Ramanayake, for allegedly making defamatory remarks on the judiciary and lawyers.


Madura Vithanage alleged that the defamatory remarks were made at a press conference held in Sirikotha on July 8.


The letter had also requested to take legal action against the Deputy Minister over these observations.
