Water cut in several parts of Colombo District

A water cut is currently being experienced in several areas within the Colombo District due to a sudden breakdown at the Ambatale Water Treatment Plant.

The water cut has been imposed in Colombo, Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte, Kaduwela, Maharagama areas, Kolonnawa, Boralesgamuwa Urban Council area and Kotikawatta-Mulleriyawa Pradeshiya Sabha area.

(UPDATE) The National Water Supply and Drainage Board says that they expect to restore the water supply to the aforementioned areas by 4.00pm today.
