Postal voting for parliamentary elections tomorrow

Police officers and teachers of state schools will be allowed to cast their postal ballot on August 3, the Election Department said.


The rest of the postal voters will cast their vote on August 5 and 6.


A total of 566,823 voters are eligible to cast postal votes at the forthcoming General Election. 


Additional Elections Commissioner M.M. Mohamed stated that 628,925 persons had applied for postal voting and that 62,102 applications were rejected.
