UNP vows to combat violence against women

Under a new government, the United National Party (UNP) will appoint two commissions to combat violence against women, the Prime Minister said.


Accordingly, the National Women Commission and the National Commission to Prevent Sexual Harassment will be appointed, Ranil Wickramasinghe added.


The observation was made at a political gathering held in Tangalle.
